Hello there!

Photo by Tech Hunter Magazine, for Norda

My name is Kelsey, and I’m an ultramarathon trail runner and mental performance coach.

I love the way that running makes me feel, and the opportunities it opens up. I especially love running as a way to explore beautiful natural places, meet people, and develop mental strength while doing things that feel scary-and-big-and-exciting all at once. I believe that doing hard things (like running ultramarathons) offers an opportunity to grow, explore, and develop skills that help when we’re facing other “ultras” in our lives.

I’ve been lucky enough to see some pretty amazing parts of the world on my own two feet, and to build a career focused on doing what I love and inspiring others to find joy in their own adventures: I’m an ultramarathon trail runner with Norda Trail Team and a Mental Performance Consultant. We are never just one thing, though. I also wear many other hats: daughter, partner, sister, artist, speaker, service-dog-trainer, nature advocate, and more.

I grew up in a small town nestled between a mountain and river on the west coast of Newfoundland (Steady Brook). My partner and I now live in Fredericton, New Brunswick along the banks of the Wolastoq river. I hold an undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary leadership studies from UNB, and recently completed my MSc Kinesiology in Sport Psychology at Dalhousie University.

You can usually find me playing around on coastal trails or running in the woods, exploring the beautiful wilderness we’re lucky to have here in Atlantic Canada and beyond. I hope that by sharing some of my adventures, you’ll feel inspired to step outside and follow your heart to do the things that bring you the most joy!

Happy trails,
Kelsey
